Villa Montedoglio is the result of attention to detail in every aspect of hospitality. Ancient building of the XVII century positioned as a "Tower in the Sky"; from here you can admire a fantastic panorama of the Valtiberina and the Tuscan hills.
Torre del Cielo was originally a lookout tower, built towards the first half of the 1600's by Ferdinando II dei Medici, used by a small group of soldiers to watch for the arrival of the enemy. Its location is about 2.5 km from Monterchi, the last piece of land of the Grand Duke of Tuscany, close to the Papal States and famous worldwide for its frescoes by Piero della Francesca la Madonna del Parto. In 1894 Francesco Rosadi (the year of construction is carved on the chimney of the ground floor), the grandfather of the current owner, enlarged the tower, giving it the shape and size that we can admire today. The "villa" has been recently restored, maintaining all the characteristics of a typical Tuscan country house. The villa has a large swimming pool (depth 150 cm, 6x12 mt), for moments of refreshing relaxation in the summer season. The pool is surrounded by sunbeds, umbrellas and a gazebo to enjoy the summer in
It is surrounded by a large garden from which you can admire the view of the panoramic valley below, perhaps relaxing in the Jacuzzi by the pool. Moving to a slightly lower level of the garden there is
a lovely patio where there is a dining table "al fresco" for 10 people. The 2-hectare garden is cared for with great passion by the owners. There are olive trees, organic peach trees and plum trees, to which guests are invited to "help themselves". There are roses, lavender and rosemary that fill the air with delicious typical Tuscan scents, very difficult to forget.
For sport lovers there is a small soccer field (for 5 people), a ping pong table and long walks in the oak woods surrounding the property.
